Sharpham, Classic Cuvee, Devon, England 2021
The colour has an amber hint in the glass and aromas of baked apple, raisin, caramel and bruised peach. The palate is dry and has flavours of red apple and toasted baking spice, with a focussed acidity, soft lees tannin and vibrant mousse.A more oxidative style of sparkling wine produced in the traditional method and matured on the lees for 19 months. Matured in French oak and on the lees prior to bottling, which offers up a more savoury style of English sparkling wine.
Sharpham Pinot Noir 2021, Devon, England
This wine is a ripe and youthful cool climate English redwine with a full-flavored palate featuring juicy red berries and broad tannins, coupled with a nose of wild strawberries, cherries, and subtle spice.
Sharpham Bacchus ‘Stop Ferment’ 2022, Devon, England
An off-dry and aromatic wine with explosive tropical fruit aromas of green melon/ lychee / passionfruit and elderflower cordial. The palate is delicately sweet upfront but perfectly balanced throughout with a laser-like acidity. The grapes were fermented in stainless steel at 13 degrees, then chilled to just above zero to stop the ferment and retain some natural residual grape sugar and elevate the aromatic profile of the wine.
